Meraki Jewellery Design is a handmade, artisan jewellery brand, designed and constructed in our Cape Town studio. Each piece is made by hand and involves a variety of steps over multiple days. We utilize traditional metal working processes and materials that have been used for centuries. To answer some questions you may have, please read on:
HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE TO SHIP?
As all of our pieces are handmade, especially for you! Please allow a maximum of two weeks for your order to manufacture and ship. If you need it sooner, please email us before placing your order.
WHAT METALS DO YOU USE?
Each piece will state the metals used in the product listing. We use brass and sterling silver. All of our ear wires and pins are made using sterling silver with matching butterflies. All of our plated pieces are done in a 3 to 4 micron plating, depending on how the piece will wear.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY JEWELLERY?
Please take care of your jewellery by keeping it clean and away from water, soaps and lotions. Store your pieces in a dry location - preferably in the bag we send with your piece. If the piece gets something on it, wipe clean immediately. We sell treated silver & gold polish cloths which can be used to clean and polish a variety of metals. You can polish your brass pieces up to a high glossy shine or allow them to darken and age.
DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS?
We want you to love your jewellery and wear it - so please contact us and we'll see if we can put together an exchange for a piece you like more or store credit. All sales are final on sale or discounted items - no returns or exchanges.
CAN YOU REPAIR MY JEWELLERY?
Yes, if you have a piece of Meraki jewellery that is in need of repair, please send us an email at email@example.com. There may be a small repair fee.
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Yes, we do. International orders are shipped via SAPO and will be delivered by local post or its affiliates. International delivery is between 2 -5 weeks. Customers are responsible for paying all duties, taxes and other fees which are levied once your package reaches the country of destination. For more information, please contact your local customs office.
If you prefer a more secure shipping method or need your package to arrive by a particular date, please contact us and we will send you a quote for DHL.
We are unable to accept returns, exchanges or repairs from our international customers due to shipping costs.
DO YOU HAVE EVER HAVE SALES?
Yes, we usually have a seconds sale once a year and have discounted items at various markets that we attend throughout the year. Please regularly visit our Facebook and Instagram pages to keep up to date with sales.
DO YOU OFFER WHOLESALE?
Yes, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire. Please include your shop's name and website link. We are always on the lookout for new, exciting stores to stock our brand!
CAN I BUY JUST ONE EARRING, IF I LOST THE OTHER?
Yes, you can! We charge a small fee to make just one and we might need you to return the earring you still have in order to match it (since all pieces are handmade). Email email@example.com for more information.
I LIVE IN CAPE TOWN, CAN I PICK UP MY ORDER AT THE STUDIO?
