meraki [may-rah-kee] (adjective)
A word that modern Greeks use to describe doing something with soul, creativity, or love — putting “something of yourself” into your work.
Meraki is a word that modern Greeks use to describe doing something with soul, creativity, or love – putting “something of yourself” into your work. The perfect word to describe the love and care that goes into each hand-crafted Meraki Jewellery piece. Owner, Eske Lombard, is the playful and passion-driven force behind this brand that strives to create unique, personalised and deeply meaningful keep-sakes — from bold and fierce to dainty and delicate pieces. With both parents being successful independent business-owners, Eske obtained a BCom degree and eagerly applied this knowledge to her love for jewellery in various roles, before taking over the helm of this thriving small business. Their pieces range from playful to effortlessly elegant with a subtle, sophisticated edge. Using ethically sourced gemstones and solid metals, each piece is designed and created by a talented team of four women - each with their own complimentary skill-set, in their sunny studio in Cape Town. From timeless, everyday necklaces, rings, bracelets or earrings to modern engagement and wedding rings, each piece will age with grace and affirm the wearer’s personal style.
Meet the Team
Our Studio
Our sunny studio is based in east city, Cape Town, South Africa. This is where the magic happens and where our designs come to life. We are incredibly lucky to have an amazing team of skilled jewellers who are detail and precision orientated, as well as being passionate about creating jewellery pieces that will last a lifetime.
We also work with trusted jewellers out-of-house. These include Cape Town based tradesmen/women for stone setting, hand engraving and other bespoke finishing that the designs may call for. If you're curious about the jewellery design process or would like to see the hands who made your piece, please pop in! We would love to meet you!
Our Showroom
Opened in 2021, our sunny showroom was created as a space for design consultations and shopping our selection of hand made jewellery.
